Digital I/O Expansion Modules
Add more discrete inputs/outputs for sensors, buttons, relays, solenoids, contactors and general machine signals. Choose relay outputs for universal switching, and mixed DI/DO for compact control panels.
| Resource | Configuration Selection | Dimensions (LWH, mm) |
|---|---|---|
| GM DE08 | 8 Inputs | EM DE08 |
| GM DE16 | 16 Inputs | EM DE16 |
| GM DR08 | 8 Relay Outputs | EM DR08 |
| GM QR16 | 16 Relay Outputs | EM QR16 |
| GM DR16 | 8 In/8 Relay Out | EM DR16 |
| GM DR32 | 16 In/16 Relay Out | EM DR32 |
- DE = digital inputs, DR/QR = relay outputs.
- DR16/DR32 combine DI + relay DO for compact systems.
Analog I/O Expansion Modules
Analog modules for industrial transmitters and control devices (pressure/flow/level sensors, VFD speed reference, valve positioning, PID outputs). Inputs support voltage or current; outputs support voltage and current.
| Resource | Configuration Selection | Dimensions (LWH, mm) |
|---|---|---|
| GM AE04 | 4 Voltage or Current Inputs | EM AE04 |
| GM AE08 | 8 Voltage or Current Inputs | EM AE08 |
| GM AQ04 | 4 Voltage and Current Outputs | EM AQ04 |
| GM AQ08 | 8 Voltage and Current Outputs | EM AQ04 |
| GM AM06 | 4 In/2 Out (Voltage and Current) | EM AM06 |
| GM AM12 / GM AM16 | 8 In/4 Out or 8 In/8 Out (Voltage and Current) | EM AM06 |
- AE = analog inputs, AQ = analog outputs, AM = combined AI + AO.
- For dense control signals, choose AM12 / AM16 to reduce cabinet space.
Temperature Expansion Modules
Temperature acquisition for heaters, ovens, drying lines, and multi-zone monitoring. Choose PT100 for accuracy, NTC for cost-effective multi-point sensing, and Type K thermocouple for higher ranges.
| Resource | Configuration Selection | Dimensions (LWH, mm) |
|---|---|---|
| GM AR04 | 4-Channel PT100 Inputs | EM AR04 |
| GM AR08 | 8-Channel PT100 Inputs | EM AR04 |
| GM AN04 | 4-Channel NTC (10K, 3950) | EM AR04 |
| GM AN08 | 8-Channel NTC (10K, 3950) | EM AR04 |
| GM AT04 | 4-Channel Type K Thermocouple | EM AT04 |
- PT100 (RTD) is recommended for better accuracy and stability.
- NTC (10K, 3950) is cost-effective for multi-point temperature monitoring.
- Type K thermocouple is suitable for higher temperature ranges.
FAQ
Yes. The table provides the recommended Configuration Selection name to simplify setup.
Use GM AE for inputs, GM AQ for outputs, and GM AM for AI + AO in one module.
Choose GM AR for PT100, GM AN for NTC (10K, 3950), and GM AT for Type K thermocouple.
